In May 2015, I wrote an article on the Heinz Marketing blog titled “Race To Create The First Account-Based Marketing Category” that invited companies like Gartner, Forrester, G2 Crowd, TrustRadius, and SiriusDecisions to openly share the companies they thought would fit well in this category.
Although account-based marketing is still in the very early stages of development and there is much debate about the best way to implement it, we at Terminus and others in the space are doing ground-breaking work to drive widespread adoption in B2B marketing.
Our work is finally paying off and I am beyond excited to share…
G2Crowd answered the call by becoming the first company of its kind to publically recognize Account-Based Marketing as a category.
Of course, we helped identify the list of companies and happily indicated every competitor because we genuinely feel that the recognition for the category is more important than recognition of any single company.
There is no doubt that account-based marketing is the future of B2B Marketing. If you don’t believe me, check out this blog by Docurated “Top 50 Account-Based Marketing Resources” or do a quick google search on account-based marketing to find a ton of content written by a variety of sources.
